We had a lovely stay at this hotel and enjoyed visiting the nearby South Lakes Safari Zoo, which was a hit with the kids! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our family feel right at home. Breakfast was tasty and provided a great start to our busy days.
It would be great if the hotel could schedule updates during quieter times, especially for families with children.

Breakfast was a real treat – plentiful grub to kick off the day! The nearby eateries are a foodie’s paradise, especially with places like Panda Garden and The Barrow Arms just a hop away, perfect for exploring local flavors.
As a solo female traveler, venturing out in the evening wasn’t my fave choice. Just wish they’d been upfront about the limited service!

The check-in process was quick, and I appreciated the quirky charm of the key system—a real key attached to a block.
The refurbishment made it hard to ignore the outdated condition of the rooms. cracked walls and worn-out carpets were obvious. The lack of plugs near the beds was an inconvenience, especially with all the devices needing a charge. Breakfast is pretty disappointing, just a paper bag left at the door with minimal options. The heating was cranked up, uncomfortably close to the toilet, and I could feel drafts coming through the windows, which were much too noisy in the stormy weather.

Nice for a Quick Stay!
We needed a last-minute place thanks to the storm and this spot did the trick! The room was pretty basic but comfy enough, and the staff were super helpful. Loved the bar area for a chill drink. Check-out at 10 AM was too early for us tho.

The room was nicely refurbished and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable stay. There was also an issue with cleanliness in the room, as hair was found in the bathtub and on the bed. Breakfast was enjoyable, offering a good variety at a reasonable price.
